Getting started

On a fresh install, Log comes with three example logs so you can see how everything works. They're marked EXAMPLE, and all three disappear automatically the moment you save your first real log. You can also delete them yourself at any time.

Common questions

Log won't unlock with Face ID

Check that Face ID is enabled for Log in Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Other Apps. If your device has no biometrics set up at all, Log opens without a prompt so you can't be locked out of your own journal.

A city isn't showing on the map

Map pins need a one-off coordinate lookup, which requires an internet connection. Open the log, tap Edit profile, re-save the city while online and the pin will appear. Very small towns are occasionally missing from the map database — using the nearest larger city usually works.

I'm changing phones

Log stores everything on your device, so it moves with your device backup: restoring a new iPhone from an iCloud or Finder backup brings your logs and photos with it. Log Pro also includes an encrypted export you can save yourself and import on the new phone.

Your Log Pro purchase is tied to your Apple ID — tap Restore purchases on the new device to get it back at no extra cost.

I deleted a log by mistake

Deleting is permanent and we genuinely cannot recover it — there's no copy on any server, which is the whole point of the app. If you have a device backup from before the deletion, restoring it is the only way back.

Restoring a purchase

Open the paywall from the "+" button or from Log Wrapped and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.

Requesting a refund

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the purchase.
